Attention Test (N2)

The N2 test is a highly demanding speed-based assessment that measures selective visual attention. It is derived from the principles of the d2-R attention test, which is typically administered to applicants for police and other security services, as well as to candidates for demanding civilian professions, as the first performance test. Its importance is significant within the overall context of psychological testing and serves primarily to assess an applicant’s responsiveness and orientation under stress—especially the ability to maintain attention under time pressure.

Your task is, within the 18-second time limit, to identify only those letters “n” that have exactly two dots in a table of 48 randomly arranged letters “u” and “n” marked with dots (above, below, or both). This task will be repeated a total of 14 times, and to successfully complete the entire test, you must select at least 34 of the correct letters in each trial, while selecting any letter “u” or any letter “n” with fewer or more than two dots will result in a penalty of 1 point.
